Yes he has grown up....he filled out well with work.......he may have even grown a little in height..he is having a winter break as I work too much over Oct-March to do any justice to my horses...He is not complaining, eating is his…

- Oh, yes, yes, to all offered! How can I ever thank you!! I'll send a regular email...and I have to say, Guy had crowds of people around him at the show. It was at a very fancy barn with very fancy, nervous horses. There he stood, allowing people to love him.

- Thank you so much for the wonderful info! Wow, yes I will photocopy and keep in the trailer. I agree, we have to allow our wonderful geldings to be the ambassadors for this special breed of horse.
I love the Exmoor stallion. He seems to be a special individual, something about him really got to me. I'd love to meet him someday.
I plan on coming up the night before the event, I guess that would be July 3. I'd love your help, but I'd never ask you to spend the day...whatever you can manage would be most excellent and another chance for a visit.
Can a regular person buy one of your scarves? Gosh, they are really incredible. Are they available anywhere near me?

The hunter pace looked perfect, absolutely right up my alley. We would have had a great time....well, there's still plenty of time in the fall for paces.

I won't be able to get away for the whole day on Saturday. If you know about another ride coming up, let me know so that I can plan for it. I'd love to come up your way.
I'll let you know when I receive the results of the DNA test. I could not do parentage verification because we don't know who the parents are, and that test is reserved for foals whose sires are already in the system.
Either way, I do love my little black horse of iron, and I feel very fortunate to have him. I think I may continue to try to find his breeders through the auction from which he was purchased.

I had a great time with you and I'm so happy our two Canadian Cousins got along famously. Glad you are taking Luke to your lesson!
I was at Mohonk yesterday and did a repeat of the same ride, but trotted almost half of it, including that hilly portion of Humpty Dumpty. Guy just sort of goes along at one pace (not a fast one!), which is very different from my Standardbred mare (or your Arabian, I'd imagine).
This Saturday eh? What time? I am doing a horse show on Sunday (only three classes to practice jumping fancy jumps in a ring) but I think he's fit enough to do both. If I don't have plans with my son, I"ll try to join you.

- Wow, I am so bummed I can't be at this show. My husband and I are in California that week, just returning the 28. We are doing a 7 day bike ride through wine country!
I did plan to do an event at Old Chatham in July. I've never been there before. In June, I am going to GMHA for an event. I'm just getting back into the sport after over twenty years...this little black horse is a lot of fun. I have two other horses, a nineteen-yr old Standardbred mare with whom I did competitive trail, and her baby colt, half Morgan. He's almost a year old and I hope to event him as well as competitive trail/endurance.
Well, I generally have two days off per week thanks to our economic downturn, so maybe we could meet up at Mohonk if you're in the mood for a day-trip? We could do whatever distance you want, any pace.
I've contacted the fellow who gave me this horse, trying to see if I can trace his breeding.
