Hi Tori: Yes I do remember Sunning Hill! My class mate Butch lived there and another, Lisa boarded there one winter. It was the 1st time I ever saw an indoor arena and a clipped horse. Lisa was a student of George Williams, now VP of USDF. He was from Peterboro. This was around 1976, more than 30years ago!
I bought Raydar (his ad is in these classified posted Dec) in March and brought him to Coursebrook in April. My trainer is Erika Hawkes and we are just working on the basics, softening, suppleing, going straight. I like to compete in low level dressage and maybe some jumping. I don't think I will start that until he is 5.
I would love to see your place sometime, can I e-mail you when I'm going to be in Rindge? My address is whitney.ke@verizon.net.

Hi Tori: I just got my 1st Canadian this spring and joined this website. I board at an eventing barn in Sherborn Mass, but am mostly interested in dressage. I wanted to say hi to you because I grew up in Rindge, on the lake off of Hubbard Hill road. Do you keep your horses in Rindge?
Karen
I would suggest you contact Laura Lee Mills at the Canadian Livestock Records, Corp
She is the person who can answer you questions.
Her phone number is (613)731-7110 extension 314
Or email her lauralee.mills@clrc.ca
They offer two services. One to verify parentage if you know the sire, the other just to see what percent of whom is in there. I haven't gotten the results yet, but I'll certainly let you know. I really have no idea what to expect.
It's very easy; send in hair samples with the roots intact.
What is the "other" half of your grey horse? He is lovely!
I am awaiting the results of my DNA test to see if Guy is actually of Canadian descent. People familiar with the breed seem to think he is, so we'll see how Canadian he actually is. He was given to me almost two years ago, a former Amish cart horse from Pennsylvania. Now, a burgeoning event horse who gets lots of kisses daily...
Why wouldn't you consider "Urchin" as a name??!! LOL!!! Some letters are much easier to find names for than others, that's for sure.
I've been trying to think of names since I read your post. All I could come up with are Unanimous, Ulima (you-LEE-ma), Usenna (you-SEN-a), Uradahl (as in "you're a doll"), and Uragem (you're a gem - but you could call her Gemma). I'm probably not much help, but maybe it'll trigger something :o)
Hi Tori
I think the North east friesian horse clubs meeting is going to be the first week in February. I am actually going to put up a post to see what classes the people in our area are interested in. Last year they had a canadian dressage suitabilty class and championship. That may be something of interest to you as well. Th classes are not that large and the arena is a pretty good size.
The dressage classes were held on Sunday and yes they are open classes. I read for Orintha Silve last year. She did a couple third level tests that I did not lnow. Boy was that a challenge!
I am still awaiting the sponsorship forms. Thank you for asking. I will keep you posted!
