Greetings! From La Vie Equestrienne

Hello/Bonjour!

I am Sara Kellner and I own La Vie Equestrienne, A Boutique Offering Unique Designs for Horses, Pets & People in the Equestrian Lifestyle. I design horse halters and leads, dog collars and leashes and other pet items along with having an online boutique with a collection of my favorite brands that I use, love and reflect my own LVE brand. LVE translates to "Life Equestrienne." Equestrienne is in the feminine form, celebrating women in the equestrian arts. I hope you enjoy my designs, come visit anytime! www.equestriennecompany.com

Archer Farm is my own private farm. I created the logo and identity. It represents a woman (or human) and a horse united to form one being moving forward in one direction towards a target horizon. I always strive for this goal in my own riding with my own horse and any future horses that I shall encounter.

I own a Thoroughbred ex-racehorse that is in Dressage training with Mary Howard of Five Stars Farm in Brentwood, NH.

I am also affiliated with New England Land Artisan: A Landscape Design|Build company specializing in dry-lay stonework and sculpture.

Hi Sara,
Congrats on being the featured member. I recommend you try and put a direct link to your website. I will try to remember how I did it on mine and let you know how.

I hope you are having a good summer.
Cheers

Hi Sara.

If I might comment on Canadians as Baroque horses yes, I think many would agree they are Baroque horses.

Baroque horses have several qualities, the two that come to mind most boldly are "luxurious" and "extravagance of form". Baroque horses are known to be smart and trainable, have Iberian ancestry ("classic" bloodlines), were cultivated by royalty and were well known in their day as fine war horses. In ages past your mounted army was your nation's "armored division" and very highly valued by royalty.

Baroque horses are also very well known for their lightness.

The Canadian Horse has a very rich heritage in all these things.

They're smart and tractable, luxurious, elegant and light, they have Andalusian (and Norman) ancestry, they not only came from the stables of Louis XIV but those stables were known for producing the very finest war horses of their day.

It is a subjective thing. But everyone I think has to agree the Canadian Horse is certainly a noble beast.

Hey Sara, I just noticed your comment about wanting to get some photos on Canadians. Bring some of your halters up when you come and we can get some nice head shots. Quite a few of our horses have really stylish heads that would show your lovely halters to advantage.

Hi Sara,

We have a summer student from France and today she started working on Rhapsody. She was very impressed at how calm and smart she is. She is very curious with a short attention span but picked up everything she was asking in the round pen very quickly.

Nice home page by the way.

I don't really know if they are a baroque horse. I have looked up what a baroque horse really is and it seems to stem from the horses depicted in art from the baroque period. It's not too far fetched to say that the canadian was in some of that artwork, etc. but I think because of the unknown factor most would answer by saying no, they are not baroque. Who knows...

As for a beach ride, you can't do that until Oct. The beach only let's you ride from Oct - Apr. However, we are trying to plan a ride in either July or August down in Hamilton, MA and if you want to come I will pick you up along the way with Marimba. Keep checking on the events committee and watch for most posts as we solidify the plans. NLV
