As mentioned before I have the stallion Sheldon Creek Bandit Markese, or Mark and now, the mare Mainguy Bismark Johannie, or Jojo. Looks like Jojo is related to a few of the other horses mentioned. Jayme

COME LOOK AT MY BOY, SHELDON CREEK BANDIT MARKESE

I am so proud of Mark, he is such a trooper. We had some mechanical trouble with his new carriage and so he couldn't use it for the time leading up to his first show. He had never been trained in a 4 wheel and only had 90 days of training last summer, before he went to this trainer. The trainer did not have a 4 wheel carriage that would work for Mark, so he trained him on the long lines (kudos to the trainer who had to run behind Mark for 2 hours a day). Then, the carriage got fixed 2 days before a CDE show. We took Mark out to the course and he has one day to get used to driven dressage, the hazards course and the cones course. He handled it all very well, except that he didn't think that we really wanted him to get his new boots and carriage wet, haha. He let us lead him into belly deep water, and within 5 minutes, he was trotting in circles in it, with the carriage.

The day of the show, he went through everything without a hitch (ok, his long straight lines down the rail in the dressage test were like spaghetti as he was trained in ridden dressage to go close to the rail, so was corrected a few times as he got the carriage too close to the rails, and he knocked down 1 ball on the cones course). He is so smart and willing. He didn't refuse, didn't freak at the wierd hazards, and did a course that was 6 miles long and had 13 hazards that he had not seen before. His trainer couldn't believe it, said this horse had the best temperament he had ever seen. Plus Marks work ethic is fabulous...you have to watch him for exertion, because he will not let you know, he will just keep going.

To top it all off, all the mares around were in season, and were trying to get to him. He maintained good stallion manners throughout...the geldings at the show were acting more studly than Mark was.

Just wanted to brag about my boy. Glad to see this group start. I know I am all the way across the country, but hope it is ok to join in. Thanks, Jayme

Mark's website is www.baroquestallion.com if you want to see him.

Canadian Mare has arrived

Thanks to Five Winds Farms in BC, my first purebred Canadian mare, Jojo has arrived in foal to their stallion, Prince. I posted a couple of her pictures with two different foals. She is a lovely, sweet mare, and is absolutely beautiful. She will be my trail horse and a brood mare. Pray for a filly as I am creating my purebred breeding program.

New Pics of Mark at CDE at Beaver Creek Oregon

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share my pictures from the CDE Mark competed in at Beaver Creek, Oregon. It was a very tough course, this was his first sanctioned competition, and he won 2nd in dressage and cones, 3rd in marathon, and 3rd overall. The first and second place ponies were very experienced and have been competing at prelim for years. I was so impressed with Mark and how sweet he was to all that come to visit him. He was a gentleman throughout and gave his whole heart to his effort whi… Continue

Hi Jayme.

Your 'discussion' on Immunocal caught my eye, having read about it in the Yahoo group too. I'm not sure how to email you privately, so I thought I'd take a chance and contact you through here :o)

Do you have to give the Immunocal daily, or is it once a day for three days? I can't quite remember what Elene had said. And is it once a month that you have to repeat the three-day treatment? I am just so tired of buying fly sprays. I've already gone through about five bottles this year.

I tried to find a Canadian Immunocal dealer, but couldn't find one. The Immunotec site appears to be American. Do you carry all the products, or just the Immunocal? Personally, I'm very interested in the tart cherry juice, to help me sleep!!

What do you charge for Immunocal? Is it palatable, even to fussy eaters? My mare is terribly fussy. I've got her on an herbal supplement as well as an herbal deworming program, and she can tell if I put even a smidgen of red wine vinegar or vitamin C in her mixture.

Thanks for your time.

Jayme,
Finally I get to this message. I am loving your equilife product. Pulsar has now been on it for some time. Although it is not easy to see muscle definition under a thick winter coat, he has filled out and looks much more mature. His mane, which has always been a little brittle is much silkier and his feet are like rock - I don't envy my farrier! My 16 year old mare has now been on it a little over a week. I have struggled with her condition this winter, finding I have to feed her more hay than in past years to keep her weight on. I have already reduced the hay she is on and have noticed an improvement in her feet. I have just started my coming two-year old and look forward to her looking awesome, when her new coat comes in. My old T/B has some way to go before finishing his existing supplement, but I will definitely be starting him as soon as is done. I can't remember - do you post the ingredients of the product with joint supplements on your web site? Thank you, Jayme for putting me on to this product.
Happy Spring!

Jayme,
Okay, I have just placed an order for 2 bottles of equilife and all went very smoothly, except that I spelled your name wrongly in the message - sorry! To your point about over- supplementing horses, I will experiment on my 4 year old gelding and have the other three finish existing supplements (far too expensive to chuck out!) before, hopefully starting them on the product. Have a great New Year

Christine, here is the message I sent you:
I don't have any experience with this as Mark only does collection (although he did get in with the Azteca mare by accident once). My vet says that it is a difficult transition from collection to pasture breeding as the
> stallion has learned no manners. If you are talking about hand breeding, it may translate ok. I just don't want Mark kicked and I don't want him to get a std. I have a friend who had a very big time Arab stallion who became sterile...no one could figure it out. Then they diagnosed and treated and he got a little bit of his "ability" back. Turned out he was also able to pass the infection on and many mares were infected. Then this last year over here, both a stallion and mare had to be put down in a breeding accident. Somehow, they got off balance after he mounted, both fell, his leg went under her, broke it...her hip was broken. This was an experienced stallion and mare pasture breeding. So I am gun shy about anything other
than AI. Just my 2 cents. There are several members of the group who have been breeding for many years and do both. They would be good to ask. Talk to you soon, Jayme
If he is trained to collect, why would you want to do live cover? To save
money for the mare owners? I'd rather lower the stud fee rather than take the chance. Not worth the risk from my point of view.

Hi Jayme
This is Playboy, Tremcel Kame Playboy. He is my four year old stallion. He is a good boy. I have lots of great new photo's but because of the copyrights of the photographer I can not post them where people can copy them. I have seen your website in the past, very nice. Mark is such a nice representative of the breed.

Awesome Jayme,
Don't worry about the delay - are we getting a heap more snow than usual this year? (only lived in the North for 4 years, but don't remember being dumped on this bad before). Let me know the web address when it is up and running and I will place your first order.
Take care and keep warm!

Hey Jayme,
I know this is a really busy time of year, but I just wanted to let you know that I still want to be one of your first customers!

Thanks Jayme, my zip is 06470 and congrats on getting the dealership. Checked with my vet today - it is NOT the same product - they have something from the University of Kentucky, which seems to have similar results, but may operate through a different mechanism. Is the Equilife product Vitex?

Seems to me that this will help all of your horses, mine were all helped regardless of their particular issue, hard keepers who are nursing big babies, old QH who was showing his age, young and healthy horse in heavy training, and mare who was ribby after weaning a baby. My only "regular" young healthy horse, who was a little fat and had "undefined" muscling, just looks spectacular. I will check on shipping. I did call today and get the dealership confirmed and they are sending me paperwork. What is your zip code? Thanks, Jayme
