July/Sept 2008 News
There has not been much to report during the month of July. Most of us are trying to get in some good riding while we can. July and August are always very busy months for most folks as the summer starts to wind down.
Behind the scenes, the Board of Directors has been diligently brain storming on some organizational efforts to get the administrative side of NECC laid out. We are taking a look at the current mission statement to be certain it identifies all of the values New England Cheval Canadien represents. You may notice some upcoming edits to what we currently have.
We, the board, are also identifying our key result areas that the organization will focus on so that our committees can form and start working to bring you some programming and events, develop a solid membership and start marketing NECC. Please stay tuned for more from the board in the upcoming month.
In the meantime, the classifieds group area remains very active filled with many things for sale and also those items that are wanted. There is a Trainers and Breeders group section for those interested and involved in training or breeding and there are many many discussions going on in the forum all about our Canadians and their particulars.
Since August is fast approaching, we will be in search of a new member to feature come September after La Vie Equestrienne. If you would like to be featured, or if you would like to nominate an organization or individual that has made strides in way of promoting, preserving and educating about the Canadian breed, someone who has just a strong impact on you personally or someone that does something really neat...please send me the information [Nicki - Bella Cavalli].
